Founding 2Gen a decade ago, Richard has spent his career honing his business and technology skills in the IT industry. With international experience acquired over 18 years, Richard devotes his considerable expertise to advising clients in streamlining their technology assets and building more efficient operations as a result.
Val is our newest team member. She is here to help clients as well as the tech guys. She has worked in the Administration and Finance sectors for over 10 years. She likes it when things are well organized and efficient. She makes sure everything runs smoothly and in a timely manner. Plus keep the guys organized and on time for any onsites.
A dedicated gamer who came to IT through his love of dissecting and reconstructing all manner of machines and gadgets, Charles has his Cert III and Diploma of IT, and described himself as “well and truly hooked on IT”. His ability to identify potential issues will be of genuine benefit to clients, and his experience with various scenarios means he is able to offer insight into measures which can stop potential future problems, thus preventing hours of headaches in the future.
With a background of 15 years in the Electronics Manufacturing Industry, coupled with formal qualifications in IT and a life-long interest in fixing and building computers, Michael is an asset to 2Gen. Clients recognise Michael for his good people skills, great depth of patience and a willingness (which he calls “stubbornness”) to fix the problem, no matter how difficult.
Mike has been in the IT industry for over 20 years. He started his IT career in the US Navy working as a systems administrator and lead tactical simulator training lab maintenance technician. After leaving the military, he worked for numerous corporations in the education, defense, manufacturing, healthcare, and banking sectors. His background in those sectors allowed him to gain a wide range of technical skills including datacenter maintenance, server builds/configurations, and SAN/NAS infrastructure rollouts and maintenance. A key factor in those positions also included providing desktop support for employee ranges of 10 to 5000 users. His most recent rounds of employment have focused more on SMB customer service roles where his customer service skills have been key to providing outstanding service to the clients in his charge. His training in computer forensics, hacking investigation, and data recovery has been widely used in assisting his clients in maintaining the safest use of the technology available to them. Mike prides himself on the quality of his work and ensuring his clients are well looked after and provided with friendly, fun, and professional care.
